5.0 out of 5 stars soft bedroom slippers on fast, smooth quiet wheels, July 2, 2011

My last pair of skates were fifteen years old so I decided to update. Knowing my Rollerblade size from 15 years ago I took a chance that sizing hadn't changed. It hadn't. My Activa's felt sized exactly the same, only nicer, plusher and much more comfortable. The chassis on these skates is longer than I'm used to and the wheels zoom fast. Making turns took a little getting used to because of these two features.

The boot is well constructed and breathes. With laces, a strap around the ankle bone and a cincher around the top of the skate, it's easy to tighten the skate to a comfortable fit.

The comfort of the boot is unbelievable. I was able to wear thin quick-dry socks without fear of blisters.

While the skates don't come with the brake attached, a brake is in the box and it's fairly easy to install. That being said, I've never found much use for brakes on my skates. But it's there for you if you use a brake.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good skate, bad laces, March 22, 2012

These skates are attractive, fit well, and are comfortable. They are fast, although I did not find a perceptible improvement over the 90 mm wheels. My main warning is that Rollerblade has eliminated its TFS closure system in favor of ... laces. Yes, the high technology of several centuries ago. Laces take longer, and more importantly, make it impossible to get the skate to fit right every time. This is a cheap move for expensive skates.
