I've had others, and these work best for me because they can be adjusted around the knee with velcro. When they simply slide up, sweat accumulates in the knee pad and really begin to stink. These air out beautifully. This review is from: 187 Killer Pro Knee Pads - Black / White (Misc.) These are GREAT knee pads! I play derby, so having good knee pads is SUPER important. These knee pads offer the total protection I need to keep my knees safe. They are really bulky though, but still offer plenty of maneuverability. The only thing I don't like about them is that extra white strap at the bottom; it's hard to adjust and makes getting them on and off a pain, so I just cut mine off. Problem solved.
