After my skates of many years started giving me blisters, I knew it was time to search for a new skate. The first two pairs I bought on Amazon were terribly uncomfortable. I finally decided to go with these, even though they were twice the price of the other skates. The other skates now are stiff, uncomfortable, and cause blisters. These are like tennis shoes on wheels!Pros: 1) Skate *very* well outside. I tried using indoor skates outside, and it just was not happening. I kept tripping over the smallest of pebbles. These wheels are built to roll easily over those pebbles. Skating on a flat paved area was like skating in a rink! 2) Love the tennis shoes on wheels design. The shoes are padded, and I even added Dr. Scholls athletic shoe inserts. 3) They skate fast! Cons: 1) The skates don't fit women quite right. I am a size 6.5 wide women's shoe. These are great skates for the outdoor recreational skater! I'm 44 and haven't skated much since I was a kid -- but I was a competitive speed skater back then. I wanted to find an exercise that I really enjoyed so I decided to roller skate at the local park. I love the tennis shoe feel of this skate. The wheels are very good -- you won't hardly notice rolling over a small stick if you're going fast enough. The only con I have are the stoppers. They are plastic (not rubber) and don't work hardly at all, especially if you're trying to stop going forward. I just don't use the stoppers. Ladies need to go a size smaller -- and if you're a 1/2 size, then go 1 1/2 size smaller. I highly recommend these skates!! |
