It features V02 Alu frame, 84mm wheels and ILQ-7 bearings and is the perfect introduction to bigger wheels. The Moto 84 naturally comes with 84mm wheels, but are able to handle up to 90mm wheels if/when you want. Both wheel sizes allow for great speeds and depending on where you are skating, or your ability, it is nice to have options. K2's Softboot designs incorporate breathable, comfortable, and flexible materials that fit and function like a second skin while substantially reducing overall weight. My experience on roller blades has been limited to "trying a friends" and the one time 10yrs ago that I rented a pair for the day. After reading many reviews online, I bought these skates mainly to add some fun to exercising around the neighborhood. My intentions when buying these was to use them regularly in place of going for a jog or run and also to "walk" our dogs. I have only been out with them 3 times as of this review and I am extremely pleased with them. As other reviews have stated, they fit very good and the size I choose was the same as my running shoes. I have to admit that not being an experienced inline skater, these things require a good bit of respect by the user. They seem very "fast" to me around the smooth blacktop streets in my neighborhood. To be honest they are pretty fast. If I was a beginner I would of really hurt myself. They handle like a dream though if you use em right. Im still getting use to them and the fast speeds they can reach. Also I am quite pleased that they fit just right. Shoe size equals skates size. During my first outing today I tried skating on the paved road. A bit bumpy but handled it just fine. If the road your skating on has any decline in it the skates reach alarming speed. Seriously best skates I have had in a long time. Perfect for getting back into it. Like other reviews have said it is more for intermediate skaters. I picked this pair up after a friend's recommendation and because of the very affordable price tag. I have to say, they are AMAZING.I can do very long distances with ease and in comfort. They are very easy to put on and take off, yet they can hold very firmly on your feet. Nothing bad to say about it, except maybe the fact that I would have loved to have an all black pair. Although the red is still pleasant to the eye. I will definitely buy from K2 again. |
