Larger Wheels, with groved grippings on the wheels. If you are not stable on rollerskates, then these skates will be very helpful. Definately order one size lower than what you are. I am a 6 shoe size, and ordered a 6. Size was too big, I should of ordered a size 5. Inexpensive, good beginer skate. Do not order if you are an experienced skater, you will be disapointed. I'm not yet used to the wider wheels but I'm getting used to it. The wider wheels with the ribbing on them create more traction with the floor for more of a grip. This is nice when you're learning, but it's something to get used to when you're used to a broken in wheel on a previous pair.
