If you are new to blading you may not want to spend over $100 for a sports item you may never use. However, I am here to tell you it's worth it. I had nearly given up on inline skating as an entry level sport for me b/c my first pair of cheaper skates were heavy as hell and hurt my feet terribly, even though they were supposedly the right size and width for my foot. After lots of research, I took a chance on the K2 Andra skates and I LOVE THEM. They are the lightest ones I've found for the price. Amazon also had the lowest price (as usual). It is such a pleasure to be able to skate 5 miles on a sunny day and not have aching feet at the end of it. Of course everything else hurt because I still haven't figured out how to stop properly, but that's my fault. My old ones were great these are fabulous! Some things are worth spending more money on and inline skates are one of those things! These roll smooth and FAST on good bearings. (Might be scary for a beginner but you will only need to buy one pair for years of enjoyment and you will get used to it quickly.) They give a soft and comfortable ride, I cant feel the bumps as I skate over my tiles or ashfelt driveway at all. I usually skate on concrete paths or at the rink. These skates look good on and are easy to get on and off. I am actually glad my old skates broke now I have these and there is no way my kids will be able to catch me now! Oh BTW If you have wide feet buy the mens version, ladies ones are narrow at the front. I have not roller bladed since I was a teenager so I was a little nervous about starting up again. These skates provided comfort and safety that made me feel comfortable! I usually have problems with my ankles while roller blading, but with these my ankles do not hurt at all! The 2 straps that go across the foot help out a great deal and were a great idea!! These skates ride so smooth, they are great for any type of skating (asphalt, concrete, etc). I would recommend these to everyone!! |
