I think these wrist guards saved me from breaking my wrists. They are well-made and offer a lot of protection. Spend the money now on quality protective gear rather than spending lots of time and money in physical therapy for broken wrists.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Gloves!, January 25, 2011

This review is from: Triple 8 Hired Hands (Sports)
I have been using these gloves for Mountain Unicycling on the trails over the past few years, and I love them. If you are familiar with the old "Harbinger" wrist-wrap gloves (no longer made), these gloves work just as well as the Harbingers.

They have a hard plastic splint on both the front and back of the glove, either of which can be removed. I keep both splits on. I can still bend my wrist pretty well to grab a unicycling handle. The material is a tough leathery (?) fabric that holds up as well as the Harbingers did. I'm currently on my second set, as the material in the first started falling apart, but I've used them a lot, probably at least 150-200 hours of hard usage on the trail.

I've fallen many times on rocks with these gloves, and they've protected my wrists every time. I've looked at other gloves, and IMO, these gloves provide the best protection to the wrist. They are warm enough for me in winter, and cool enough in the 100 degree weather we... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars best protection, August 10, 2009

This is a great product and the best protection for new and aggressive skaters / skate boarders. Hand and wrist injuries are the most common type and this "glove" style protects against abraisons as well as breaks and sprains. Because they look "cool" my 7 year old son will actually wear them. The "palm side" insert is a bit bulky, but he got used to it after a while. Sizes run a bit small, so don't get a small unless you kid has very small hands.
