We have used them both inside and outside. They fit true to size and so far we've had no problems. Read the reviews on Amazon and no one mentioned that it ran small. The same skate can be found at Target and all the reviews said it was 2 sizes too small/ I checked out the serial number on both skates and they were slightly different so I thought this mode/serial number would not have the same problem. . . Unfortunately, it did! Am returning it to get one that is 2 sizes bigger than my son's current shoe size! Bottom line, very nice skate! Seems well made and durable.
