I figured I'd just SHOW him instead). After much searching, I decided on these skates. Now, I'm using them to skate up and down the street with my boy, and on the sidewalk. I don't know if these are the best skates out there for that, but when I searched 'Women's Sidewalk Roller Skates', not much came up. I've used these about 4 or 5 times already and they feel fine to me. I believe that they'll be ok out on the street since I'm not using them everyday, but if you're purchasing these for a child or teen who plans to use them often, you may want to try and find something that has sturdier wheels that are made specifically for street/sidewalk skating. When I bought these skates, it didn't occur to me to think of a weight limit. But when I was at the rink skating, I noticed that the plastic supports were bending to the side each time I put my weight on them. I stopped skating and lifted my foot up, then pushed on the front left wheel without putting my full weight on the skate, and the whole undercarriage bent to the side. I'm a newbie to skating, but still...I feel like that's not supposed to happen. The rental skates don't bend like that. It made me feel unsafe.I want to blame myself and say I'm just too much woman for these skates, but it bent from even just pressure from my toe. I prefer not to say how much I weigh, but since I'm not too fat to skate and I can still touch my toes...I think these skates would probably be best for teenage girls who don't weigh very much. 15 of 17 people found the following review helpful ![]() By Angelina Malone (Whoare Town) - See all my reviews But I started to remember how to skate not but five minutes after putting them on in my kitchen! And I am having so much fun! They skate really well, I love the white and purple tires! The white is a perfect canvas for me to doodle and draw on them! I'm so excited! I only gave them four stars because frankly I just bought them and haven't been skating for very long. But i'm sure with time and practice and a LOADS of FUN i'm going to edit this review and give these neato skates five stars! I can't wait to be a roller derby girl! Oh and I bought them at Academy: Sports & Outdoors for only $35.00 so they were a great deal! |
